1. Seller information

House of RAK operates this online store.

Shopify provides the ecommerce platform used by this store but is not the seller of the products.

2. Scope and acceptance

These Terms govern your access to houseofrak.com and purchases made through the store. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return and Refund Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to place an order.

3. Products

We sell physical books printed on demand. Product descriptions, formats, dimensions, cover images, and other details are provided as accurately as reasonably possible.

Screen settings and normal printing, binding, and trimming tolerances may cause minor differences in colour or positioning. This does not affect your rights if a product is materially defective, damaged, misprinted, or different from what was ordered.

Our books are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and no particular personal result is guaranteed.

4. Prices, currencies, taxes, and charges

Prices may be displayed in different currencies according to your location or market settings. The currency, product price, shipping charge, applicable tax, and final total shown at checkout apply to your order.

For international deliveries, local authorities or carriers may charge import duties, taxes, or handling fees that are not collected at checkout. Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, the customer is responsible for such charges.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order already accepted.

5. Orders and payment

Before submitting an order, you can review and correct your products, quantities, delivery address, and payment details.

When you place and pay for an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products. We accept the order when we send an order confirmation. The confirmation will be sent electronically to the email address provided at checkout.

Payment is processed through the payment methods displayed at checkout. We do not receive or store complete payment-card details.

We may cancel and refund an order before dispatch if payment is not authorised, fraud is reasonably suspected, the product cannot be produced, or a material pricing or technical error occurred. If we cancel an order, the amount paid for the cancelled item and its associated shipping charge will be returned to the original payment method.

6. Print-on-demand production and fulfilment

Books are produced after an order is placed. Orders may be printed, packed, and shipped by Bookvault or one of its regional print and delivery partners acting on our behalf. House of RAK remains the customer’s seller and point of contact.

Because production can begin shortly after an order is accepted, cancellation and address-change requests cannot be guaranteed once fulfilment has started.

7. Shipping and delivery

Production times, delivery estimates, tracking, address changes, lost parcels, and international charges are explained in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed. If we cannot ship within a promised period, or within the period required by applicable law, we will notify you and provide the legally required option to accept a revised date or cancel for a full refund.

8. Returns, refunds, and damaged products

Returns, cancellations, refunds, and claims for damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect products are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer right or legal guarantee that applies to you.

9. Website use and intellectual property

The website and its original text, graphics, branding, cover artwork, photographs, and other content are owned by or licensed to the store operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the website for personal shopping and informational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, scrape, republish, sell, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission.

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

10. Third-party services and links

The store relies on third-party services for hosting, payment processing, printing, fulfilment, delivery, analytics, and other functions. External websites and services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for an external website merely because the store links to it. This does not reduce our responsibility for performing your order or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Events outside reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, carrier disruption, customs action, labour disputes, natural disasters, war, widespread technical outages, or government restrictions.

If such an event materially delays an order, we will provide information and any cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law.

12. Liability and mandatory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot be excluded, or any mandatory consumer right.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the order was placed.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without depriving a consumer of any mandatory protection provided by the law that applies to that consumer.

Any dispute will be handled by a court or competent authority having jurisdiction under applicable law. Before commencing formal proceedings, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, practices, or legal obligations change. The version in effect when an order is placed governs that order unless a change is required by law.
